The breeze that welcomed me on very early morning arrival at my “beach office” in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica was filled with promise of wonder and newness. I began to set up my office while enjoying the breeze flowing over my skin and enjoying the stillness of the morning, basking in my blessings and smiling in my soul. The location where I set up my beach office no one was around that time in the morning, only the divine and I enjoying the moment together.
I must have been in my “own world” because I did not see anyone approaching. I was brought back to “this world’ when I heard “hello are you one that does the yoga and the massages?” I turned around to see two elderly smiling ladies dressed in their sun hats, wearing loose and comfortable fitting summer apparel, with hiking shoes and their backpacks, They told me they decided to do an early morning walk on the beach and saw me setting up and would possibly stop by another day for massages. I answered all their questions and away they went to continue their beach walk. I continue with my set up.
It would be days before I was blessed again with their presence. I had no way of knowing what a true blessing it would turn out to be. They both wanted a 60 minutes massage treatment, the elder of the two decided to be treated first while her friend went for a swim in the ocean. I began “Mary’s” treatment, the first minute in the treatment Mary could not stop laughing she was literally cranking up with laughter and joy. In between the laughter, she was saying the following; “Am I really in Costa Rica on the beach having a massage??!!” “I beat breast Cancer ” I told her I could pinch her but I would not pinch her and yes, she was on the beach having a massage. During the massage she shared with me she had lost her dear friend whose passing motivated her to “get out and live” .
Mary says she is a singer and she goes to hospitals when people are really ill or making their departure from this realm she would sing for them has they traveled on to their other dimensions. At the end of the massage she sat up with a broad smile and said please sit beside me on the table. I did as she requested. We sat shoulder to shoulder with our feet dangling off the side of the massage table; she then placed her hand in mine and began to sing to me.
She sang of a river that was filled with enough for everyone to drink from, a river that never ends and unending river that washes all things new. I was feeling so blessed, highly favored, filled with love and gratitude. Then I looked up and saw her friend “Susan” was walking towards us from her swim in the ocean with this radiant and knowing smile. She sat in the sand close to the table with the expression on her face was that of OMMM. Peace. So yummy, yummy. Mary then shared with me it was the first time she has felt the presence of her departed friend since her parting. She then cracked up again laughing saying her friend was never a “believer” and here she was feeling her presence.
It was now Susan’s turn to have her treatment as she got on the table she began to thank me for what I did for her friend. But what I explained it is the reverse, I am the grateful one.
Please feel free to comment or share with me your experience in an encounter that makes you just say “yummy yummy” that was good “food for the soul”
