🌿 Meet Our Facilitators
Women who lead with wisdom, walk with intention, and pour from a place of overflow.
In every season of transformation, some women step forward—not just to guide, but to hold space, to witness, and to walk beside others on the path of healing. I am deeply grateful and profoundly honoured to introduce the two extraordinary women who will be joining me as facilitators for the Rooted & Grounded Costa Rica Retreat.
Lorraine — Founder of Fab Body Costa Rica
With over 30 years of experience, Lorraine honours the body as a sacred gateway to healing, strength, and inner transformation. As the Founder of Fab Body Costa Rica, she blends her expertise as an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, ISSA Certified Nutrition Coach, Certified Yoga Instructor since 2009, and Massage Therapist to guide women back to balance, clarity, and embodied confidence.
Grounded, intuitive, and deeply compassionate, Lorraine creates spaces where women feel supported and empowered to release what no longer serves them. Her work invites each woman to reconnect with her body, remember her power, and rise into the fullest expression of who she is.
Allie Macomber is a Functional Nutrition + Lifestyle Practitioner and Yoga Instructor who helps women understand the “why” behind their symptoms so they can feel calm, energized, and at home in their bodies. At the Costa Rica retreat, she’ll lead a grounded, practical workshop on using food as medicine – supporting hormones, blood sugar, and the nervous system with simple, real-life meals (no perfection required). You’ll leave with doable tools, gentle mindset shifts, and meal ideas you can bring straight back into everyday life. Allie’s journey into health and wellness began in 2018, when she became a yoga teacher and saw firsthand the body’s innate ability to heal when given the right environment – and Lorraine’s encouragement was a big part of why she stepped into teaching. The Cacao Ceremony
The cacao ceremony is a gentle, heart-centred ritual rooted in ancient Mesoamerican tradition. We drink ceremonial-grade cacao—pure, unprocessed, and infused with intention—to awaken the heart, soften the mind, and invite deep connection to self, spirit, and community.
This is not a performance. It is a prayer in motion.
Together, we will:
• Sip cacao in silence and reverence
• Set intentions and release what no longer serves
• Move through guided meditation, breath, and sound
• Share from the heart in a safe, sacred container
• Remember the wisdom of the body and the earth
Cacao is a plant teacher—gentle yet powerful. She meets you where you are and invites you to feel, to listen, and to return to your truth.
A short testimonial:
Hey Lorraine,
I’m grateful for the opportunity to share why I felt called to sign up for the Rooted and Grounded women’s retreat.
I am attending the retreat in Costa Rica as an intentional step toward continued healing and growth. Over the course of my life, I have walked through childhood trauma, relationship trauma, the loss of siblings I deeply loved, and the loss of my son.
Of course these experiences changed me — how could they not? The grief and the growth have shaped and re-formed me.
They broke me open. They stripped away illusion. They forced me to confront what matters and what does not. And through deep healing work, they also strengthened me.
My life today is steady. My footing is solid. I hold a worldview that feels grounded and clear. But I do not believe growth is only born from devastation. Growth is a lifelong discipline — a conscious choice to remain awake.
This retreat is an opportunity to deepen that practice.
I am going to wake up in nature — to let the rhythm of the earth recalibrate my own. To rise with the light. To breathe deeply in a different landscape, allowing spaciousness and quiet to expand what I practice.
I am going to connect with other women — not because I lack community, but because there is something uniquely powerful about women gathering with openness and honesty. There is wisdom in shared stories. Strength in witnessing one another. Healing in being both seen and offering support.
I want to explore nourishment in its fullest sense — not just food on a plate, but understanding how what we consume affects our bodies, our minds, and our clarity. To eat with intention. To move with intention. To stretch, practice mindfulness, and live the principles of yoga not as performance, but as a way of being — even in the midst of daily chaos.
This retreat is not an escape. It is a return — to presence, to simplicity, to alignment.
There is always room to expand. Always space to soften. Always another layer of awareness waiting to be uncovered.
I am going to Costa Rica to nurture that expansion — and to come home even more rooted and grounded than when I left.
Lovingly,
Connie M.
